Happy New Year 2008

We are coming towards the end of 2007..

I've been looking back and thinking what have I achieved this year..

Nothing significant enough to remember apparently :D

But regardless, it has been a wonderful year. Despite being far away from home, I've discovered that I've made new friends that I can count on.

New year has always been like any other normal day, the only difference is today is a different year number and the next day is a different number. I am not gonna do the whole new year resolution thingy cos I know I'm not gonna do anything about it, but I am striving to be a better person next year hahaha...

Ya, ya.. Laugh all you want!!! I think this year I wanna be more open, not just to myself but also to others and I know I can do it. In fact I've just started today :)

So anyways, a friend wrote that new year is suppose to signifies a new beginning, whatever that may be. So I am wishing all of you Good Luck in your journey towards the new year and may you achieve whatever you heart desires.

Goodbye 2007 and Welcome 2008!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!

PMSing...

I've been wondering why I was always hungry these past days...
With sporadic mood swings... Bloatness..
This morning I was irritated with my colleague cos I can't hear what she was talking about.
"Can you please stop mumbling and talk clearly! I can't hear you laaaaa..."
Why do women have to go through this phase every month *sigh*

Merry Christmas everybody!!!!

I am happy cos I have a proper Christmas celebration this year. These last few years, Christmas is just like any other day.

But this year, I have a Christmas tree and Christmas late lunch with my friend's family. She invited me to spend Christmas with her family. We had food, drank wine and talk and talk and talk :D I really felt like I am part of the family.

I suddenly realised how much I missed being in a family with parents and siblings. I haven't had those in years and I forgot how it feels like. It makes me a little melancholic :(

But anyways, we exchanged gifts. Remembering back the joy of unwrapping ones Christmas presents.

I don't think I am ready to let go of Christmas just yet.

Last weekend, mua and 2 of my friends went to Penang for our first ever roadtrip together...

Little did we expect that we will be spending most of our time on the road. We definitely underestimate the distance :D

The hotel we stayed in was marvellous.. It was sooooo nice and cosy. Worth every penny!! I was disappointed though cos we missed breakfast the next morning. We slept like sleeping beauties and didn't woke up until about 10am ++, it was already too late for breakfast.

Damnnn!! I really wanted to try the food at The Bungalow. That's the name of the restaurant.

Nevertheless, it was a fun weekend. Not bad for our first attempt at roadtripping together. We are planning to go to Cameron Highlands for our second roadtrip but we haven't decided on the dates yet.

Roadtripping again!!!!

Oh mannnnn... I am finally roadtripping again!!!

This time to Penang and not with my usual monkees friends. We are gonna stay at the Lone Pine Hotel. It's a really old hotel but they refurbished it awhile back and it only have 50 rooms.

The photos I saw of the hotel from the net, it look quite decent.

I'm actually really looking forward for this, I need to breath air other than KL's air.

I think being in KL is a bit suffocating at times.. Gosh!!

I hope its gonna be fun :D

Christmas is just round the corner. Bought a Christmas tree for meself last Friday.

I'm so happy with my tree. I don't really celebrate Christmas but I thought having a Christmas tree at home can ease this don't-know-whatcha-called-it feeling.

Anyways, Happy Holiday everybody..

Oh Bugger!!!

Been having that feeling again lately...

I'm just soooo bored with everything these days...

Everything doesn't appeal to me anymore...

B.O.R.E.D..... B.O.S.A.N....

Have you ever get the feeling that everything in KL is fake..

Very superficial..

Had a conversation with a friend few weeks ago.. Told her that almost everybody's life in KL is a FAKE...

She asked, "Whaddya mean??"

I said, "I don't know how to explain. Probably it's just me...."

I don't want to stay in KL but I don't want to go back KK either... In fact I don't want to go anywhere..

Can I just disappear? Vanish? Poooffff.... Gone!!!!

Sigh....

.....Life Is For Living.....

Life is a gift we're given each and every day

Dream about tomorrow, but live for today

To live a little, you've got to love a whole lot

Love turns the ordinary into the extraordinary

Life's a journey

always worth taking

Take time to smell the roses... and tulips...

and daffodils... and lilacs... and sunflowers...

Count blessings like children count stars

The secret of a happy life isn't buried in a

treasure chest... it lies within your heart

It's the little moments that make life big

Don't wait. Make memories today

Celebrate your life!

Terry Fox Run Kuala Lumpur 2007

I'll be Terry Foxing (that's what we called the run in office) this Sunday at Taman Tasik Perdana. The run starts at 9am but we have to be there quite early in the morning. One reason would be cause parking space is limited and since I'll be the designated driver that day, I need to be there early to get a good parking space.

Guess I'll be waking up early this Sunday but at least it's for a good cause. They'll be 100 of us from my company joining the run and I'm sure it's going to be fun, plus 2 of my monkee friends will be there too.

I am also dedicating this run to the late mother of a friend of mine, whose life was cut short prematurely due to cancer.

May her soul rest in peace. Al Fatihah.

I'm ANNOYED!!!

Is it normal for someone to to be annoyed if things didn't happened as you planned it to be.
I think that IS normal right? Or is it selfish??

It's just that, I can't take it if people cancel on me at the very last minute without a valid reason. OK so maybe that human being didn't exactly promised but usually you know that when a person said "I'll PROBABLY go" usually means about 90% probability of going right???

Ya la, I'm making up numbers here and there are no scientific researches to support that but that usually what happens right??

But I still hate to think of the other 10% probability happening to me!!!

Dammmnnnnn!!!

My Wish by Rascal Flatts

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

Updates! Updates!!

Wassup people!!!

I am still on hiatus :) but thought I drop by my blog just to provide some updates on what has been happening last few weeks.

Work has been the same, there are a few staff movements in the office including my boss. So we are gonna get a new boss. I hope she's an OK boss. At my current mood, I am soooooo not ready to face a bitchy boss :)

Bought a new sofa to replace the old one. The old sofa was ruined by my two furry kids. Barely look like a sofa at all now, so since I got some extra payout recently so I thought I'll head to the nearest furniture shop and bought meself a new couch. It's quite cheap and it's cool looking hehehe..

So in the spirit of celebrating my new sofa, I decided to organise a BBQ buka puasa session with the Monkeys and my office mates. There were lots of cleaning up to do with all the cats' fur flying around my living room and bedroom. I'm suck at marinating chicken too so my lovely colleague helped me out in that department. The outcome, a wonderful tasty BBQed chickens :)

The turnout was great, I was initially a bit worried that my place couldn't fit everybody cos I kept on inviting people over. About 20 people attended my do, it was a bit cramped but everybody had fun. There were more than enough food for everybody. I surprised my Monkey friends with a surprise birthday cake too. Everybody happy!!!

Oh hey, Black Eyed Peas coming over to Genting on the 26th October. I'll be going with my friends, well I think I'm going. I hope she beli the tickets already. It's on Friday so I might have to take leave that day. Can't wait!!! I love BEP!!!

Other things to be updated, I bought TV and a DVD player for my bedroom. I re-arranged some of the furnitures in my room so now it's a bit roomier. I spent RM2000 for my car!!! But it's all worth it. I think!! :)

And of course SELAMAT HARI RAYA to all!! I am back at my hometown celebrating Raya. This year, lots of people came over to my house. I worked non-stop. Refilling the food, their drinks etc etc... But it was fun! Fun! Fun! A week before my flight back home, I was already in a holiday mood. I barely buat any work at all hahaha.. Well, I did some la. I promise, once I am back from my Raya holiday I'll be a better employee. Yeah right!!!! OK! OK! I will try to be a better employee :)

But right now I just want to enjoy what's left of my holidays and at the same time planning my next get together at my house. I'm thinking a slumber party. Might be fun?!

OK peeps that's all for now. I'll update some more when I have time and more ideas to write.

Once again I'm on hiatus till further notice :)

On hiatus until further notice..

Dear readers,

I am currently on an indefinite hiatus.

Why, you ask?

Cos I'm too lazy to update my blog plus I don't have time to do it and somehow the joy of blogging has drained out.

But before I take off, here are some updates of the things happening in my life in the past weeks.

p/s: remember my blood test result, I'm OK!!! Woohooo...

Went to a friend's brother's wedding in Puchong on the 4rd August

Friday night out..

I went to the KL Sing Song last Friday night at KLPAC with one of my monkey friends and a friend from work. The other monkey friend have to cancel due to work commitment.

I was excited since two of the singer-songwriters that I like were performing that night. As usual Reza Salleh and Mia Palencia didn't disappoint. The first set of the gig was good although I kinda thought Jerome Kugan a bit "syok sendiri" :) Love Mei Chern's voice. It was so hauntingly good.

But the good stuff was on the second set when Reza, Mia and Melina William took to the stage.
They sang for 3 rounds and an encore but still not enough. Must find out where and when is their next gig!!

Funny banned commercials

I was bored today.. These days, everything seems to be slower. I still don't feel like working and my crappy mood hasn't improved much.

I was exploring a few websites and settled on YouTube.

Typed in "banned commercials".

Surprise.. Surprise.. There're 4,630 videos for me to view. Yay!!!

They're freakin' funny and really helped enlighten my mood.

Below are some of my favorites:

1. 4 banned commericals
2. Men in toilet
3. Mastercard - Priceless
4. Learn English
5. Breast exam

Haven't gone through all yet, with 4000++ videos for me to view, it'll keep me entertain for at least a few months :)

An un-named post

*Warning: This is an emo post!!!*

Have you ever get the feeling that even though you are surrounded by people you love and the people who loves you, yet, you still feel all alone??

And no, I wasn't talking about my current single status but just the empty hallow feeling inside of me.. oh I don't know.. It's just indescribable.

It's like being in a roomful of people, yet all alone.

And I'm tired of putting on a happy face and being chirpy all the time pretending to be happy when the truth is I don't even know whether I am happy or not!!

What worries me is that I think my current state is affecting my job.

The Unsung Heroes

I was reading The Sun this morning in the office and came across this ad. I just thought the jobs advertised are not something you get to see everyday and to satisfy my curiosity, I log in to MTVasia's website to check it out.

I love their creativity and had fun watching their videos. To apply for the Beeper post, you have to play the beeper game. Those with the higher score will be in the running to become one of MTV's Unsung Heroes :)

Interested? Anybody? hehehehe

Moi Birthday!!

Yes yes.. Today is my 27th birthday. Happy birthday to me :)

The day started out like any other day. Woke up late, arrived office 20mins late.

Received some birthday wishes from my office mates. Some smses, emails and phone calls from my friends.

I received my first birthday present from my ex-bosses. A lembu hand rest. Yeay!! An addition to my lembu family hehehe..

The moo moo hand rest

After that the day just went on like any other normal day in the office. Except I think my fever's back. Damnnn...

The day could have gone like normal except at about quarter after 5pm, my work mates surprised me with a cake!!! Yay!! A surprise birthday cake. I'm touched. The last birthday surprise I had was when I was still in school on my 17th birthday. That was 10 years ago!!! (I wonder if my 37th birthday will be a lot better hehehe..)

My birthday cake! (What's left of it..)

They gave me a camera as a birthday present. Not an ordinary camera though. I LOVE THIS CAMERA!! It's a Fisheye camera by Lomography. As written on the box "The brand new version of the world's first, best and only 35mm compact fisheye camera". Love the camera mannn!! Prolly I'll post up some of the photos nanti once I've developed the film. By the way, this is not a digital camera OK, it uses the ol' skool camera film.. hehehehe... And they already loaded it with a 36 Kodak film.

My brand new Fisheye camera

Can't wait to try it out!! Oh mannn.. This year is definitely the best birthday after sooooo many years of not celebrating my birthday..

To my work mates... Love you peeps for the coolest birthday present ever.. Mwah! Mwah!

Fun-Filled Weekend With The Monkeys!!

As predicted, I had an extremely fun weekend with my two monkey friends. Altho' I was sick last Friday but I definitely didn't let that hinder me from spending some QT with my friends in Perak.

Our journey started in Ipoh. We went to our friend's house in Rapat Setia, kidnapped her and brought her to Kellie's Castle. Kesian her jadi tukang angkat tripod hahaha cos the rest of us were so busy taking photos of the castle.
Kellies's castle

A Pentagram drawn on the castle's floor

Next stop, lunch in some restaurant at Ipoh's town. We delivered our friend back to her home in one piece and proceeded to Damai Laut Country Resort where we spent a night in my company's resthouse. Before that, off we went to the beach for some sunset shots.

The sunset at Damai Laut Country Resort

Some random shot of the beach area

That night my friend so semangat, "tomorrow we bangun 6.00am. 6.30am latest. Lets start the day early!". The next day, we all bangun at 9am!!! Muahahahahahaha... Our first destination for the day was the jetty nearby for some more photo taking activity.

Signboard at the Jetty

After about 30 mins under the hot sun, we're off to Teluk Intan. Konon to take some shots of the Leaning Tower of Diamond Bay (sounds nicer in English kan hehehe..) After sesating for about an hour and a half trying to find the way to Teluk Intan and harassing a few people asking for direction, we managed to get to Teluk Intan just in time for lunch. Had lunch and proceeded to do what we do best, posing and took photos inside the leaning tower hehehe.. (I imagined the tower to be a lot higher and impressive looking tapi looks ordinary to me and not so senget too)

Leaning tower of Teluk Intan

That was the last destination before we headed back to KL. I slept most of the way back. Was so tired plus I got my headache.

I arrived home at bout 7++pm. Unpack, shower and pengsan till morning.

We already have some more roadtrip planned for the months ahead. I hope it's going to be as fun as this one. This was also the longest time ever I sat on the passenger seat behind cos usually either I was the designated driver or the co-pilot. So fun, I get to pretend like I was the boss. "Driver, jalan!"

We're gonna rock Perak this weekend hehehe..

Last Wednesday I was having dinner with my 2 friends. We initially wanted to meet up for brunch on Saturday but then we decided to go somewhere far far away from KL instead. We decided to go to Perak which was earlier planned for July.

So yesterday, I booked my company's resthouse in Damai Laut and we're set for a roadtrip this Saturday.

Can't wait to see my friend in Ipoh and the roadtrip with my 2 monkey friends :)

It's going to be a FUN FILLED weekend!!!

I'm in love with Optimus Prime

Yesterday, my friend texted me that she managed to get the premiere tickets to watch Transformers at Cineleisure and the movie starts at 9.20pm.

I was at my Dale Carnegie's graduation and trying very hard to repress my excitement, else I'll be jumping up and down and the other participants may thought I was on sugar high :)

So right after my graduation, I went to pick up my friend at TTDI, had dinner at Dome and we're off to Cineleisure. Damn ramai orang weiiii!!!

I was in awe throughout the movie. It was amazing!! Simply an amazing movie!! I love everything about it. Even the robots were pimped up. The first time Optimus Prime appeared on screen, everybody went "oooo" and "aaaaa" and clapped their hands.

I am planning to watch it again and this time around I wanna watch it at IMAX. Woohooo... "Watch Transformers, LIFE-SIZED. Only at IMAX"

Special thanks to my friend who gave me the tickets. Mwah mwah.. Love you long-long hehehe..

Guerrilla Advertising

I stumbled upon a website today which have lists of some very interesting news, articles, pictures and video etc etc... Haven't looked into it all yet but so far these are my favourite..

Guerrilla marketing, as described by Jay Conrad Levinson in his popular 1984 book Guerrilla Marketing, is an unconventional way of performing promotional activities on a very low budget. Such promotions are sometimes designed so that the target audience is left unaware they have been marketed to and may therefore be a form of undercover marketing (also called stealth marketing). (an excerpt from Wikipedia)

Below are some examples of great guerrilla advertising (they are not from Malaysia though) but they are soooo good!! Brilliant!

This is my favourite. FedEx's excellent way of promoting their delivery speed.

Vacuum cleaner ad.

McDonald ad.

Watch ad. You can even try it on to see how it looks on your wrist :)

Beer ad in a bus

Casino ad on an airport conveyor belt. How cool is that?!! French roulette anybody?

You can even play ball in the men's room

or test your aiming skill

Superglue ad showing off how powerful the glue is

A mobile service provider ad.

and finally, a Mr. Clean ad.

Don't you think they were brilliant!! I love it!! I wish I can come up with ideas like that..

Love thee country..

I know it's June and still a bit early to be in a Merdeka or patriotic mood. But anyways, I was going through the online newspapers and came across this article "A Burmese Birthday".

Aung San Suu Kyi; born 19 June 1945 in Yangon (Rangoon), is a non-violent pro-democracy activist and leader of the National League for Democracy in Myanmar (Burma), and a noted prisoner of conscience. (an excerpt taken from Wikipedia)

The story of Aung San Suu Kyi really inspires me. The story of her sacrifices for the love of her country. And today, just as her previous years, she will spend another birthday alone. Today is her 62nd birthday. As for the last 17 birthdays since 1990, she has been celebrating it as a captive in her own home. She has been put under house arrest by the Burma's military junta and isn't allowed to to have any visitors even her own family and friends. As of May this year, her detention has been extended for another year.

As described by Gordon Brown in his book "Courage: Eight Portraits";

"So Suu Kyi's courage is the courage to sacrifice her own happiness and a comfortable life so that, through her struggle, she might win the right of an entire nation to seek happy and comfortable lives. It is the absolute expression of selflessness. Paradoxically, in sacrificing her own liberty, she strengthens its cry and bolsters its claim for the people she represents."

And quoting one of her most famous speeches is the "Freedom From Fear" speech, which begins:

"It is not power that corrupts but fear. Fear of losing power corrupts those who wield it and fear of the scourge of power corrupts those who are subject to it"

I have nothing but utmost respect for this lady.

Medical breakthrough!! Woohoooo!!!!

I'm currently reading a book by Mary Roach entitled "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers".

It's an interesting book, funny but verrrryyyy educational. In one of its footnote there was a brief mentioning on this topic and while I was browsing to the net, I found a study conducted by these 4 people (Willibrord Weijmar Schultz, associate professor of gynaecology, Pek van Andel, physiologist, Ida Sabelis, anthropologist, Eduard Mooyaart, radiologist) who have nothing better to do other than taking MR images of people having sex!!

Below are the Abstract of the paper,

Objective:
To find out whether taking images of the male and female genitals during coitus is feasible and to find out whether former and current ideas about the anatomy during sexual intercourse and during female sexual arousal are based on assumptions or on facts.

Design: Observational study.

Setting: University hospital in the Netherlands.

Methods: Magnetic resonance imaging was used to study the female sexual response and the male and female genitals during coitus. Thirteen experiments were performed with eight couples and three single women.

Results: The images obtained showed that during intercourse in the "missionary position" the penis has the shape of a boomerang and 1/3 of its length consists of the root of the penis. During female sexual arousal without intercourse the uterus was raised and the anterior vaginal wall lengthened. The size of the uterus did not increase during sexual arousal.

Conclusion: Taking magnetic resonance images of the male and female genitals during coitus is feasible and contributes to understanding of anatomy.

Righttttt...

Tattooooooooooooo.....

I went back to my hometown earlier this month. I just needed to get away from work and chill around my beloved town.

Most of my time was spent eating all the food that I can't find in KL (the taste is not the same as the one in KK hehehe..). Dragged my friends and cousins around town in search of tasty pau, chicken rice, wantan mee (there's this one shop selling wantan mee, he called it wantan USA as in Udang Seafood Ayam.. Err.. Udang bukan seafood aaa???) Crazy sedap weiiii... :)

Other than idling around the house, I also spent a few hours everyday, sitting in front of my cousin's laptop surfing the net (my internet at home still "bodoh". It's been 2 months but I'm so lazy to fix it hehehe..). While I was surfing Wikipedia (Wiki rawks mannnn...) I found this link www.hanzismatter.com.

It's a blog dedicated to the misuse of Chinese characters in western culture especially in tattoo. I read the first entry and I was hooked!!! I spent the next few days reading most of the previous entry.

Anyways people, if you are considering a kanji or hanzi tattoo, make sure you do some research first, else you'll end up being one of them as posted on Hanzi Smatter, a permanent tattoo on you body which might translated into "I'm a horny goat" :).

This is one blog that is highly recommended by me. Come on, read it!

Things we do for our FRIENDS

The things we do for our friends.

It's Sunday, and today I woke up at 6.30am!! Did I mentioned its freaking Sunday and I woke up at 6.30am??

Why? Cause I promised my friends I'll join them for their photography session at USJ.

So, Sunday morning, I woke up, shower and waited for my friend to pick me up and drove to TTDI to join another friend and again drove to USJ to pick up yet another friend and her daughter.

Again I ask myself why did I bangun early this Sunday morning and joined them for the photography session when all I did was duduk bawah some pondok and membaca outdated magazine.

Well, the reasons are;

1. I've not seen my friend and her daughter for almost a year and this is a good time for me to catch up with them.

2. I've never seen my photographer friend in action before, so now is the chance to see her in action. (Altho' I only observed from a far cause I was sooo lazy to follow them around hehehe...)

3. It's always fun to be around friends that I love and we've known each other almost forever.

The breakfast was good too. I was hungry and I had an extremely delicious roti bakar at one of the kopitiam in Taipan.

We were done at bout 10.30am, my friend sent me home and me pengsan sleeping beauty right in the middle of my bed at approximately 12.30pm. Bliss!!!

Saya Memanjat Gunung Ledang

Date: 1 - 2 May 2007

While most Malaysian was resting at home enjoying the Labour Day holiday, a bunch of us woke up early that 1st May 2007 (me bangun 4.15am ok!!) to begin the journey of conquering Mount Ledang. That early morning, as early as 4.30am, I began my rounds of "collecting" people which started at Wangsa Maju, then Taman Tun and finally Bangsar.

As planned, all of us met at Kajang toll so that we can go together-gether to Tangkak Town for our breakfast. The roti telur sedap wei, tapi banyak lalat!!

After some short briefing by the Taman Negara Ledang staff, and some confusion over declaring every single item that we're going to bawa with us, the ascend started at 10am. The first 50meters I was already gasping for breath!!! What an embarrassment!!!

Ironically the 1st Check Point is called Bukit Semput!! How fitting!!

I walked alone cause I think it was easier for me , no pressure from the people behind me or to catch up with the people in front of me.

Our base camp was at Check Point 4 (there were 8 check points all together, The Summit being the last check point). We rested for about 2 hours before starting the journey up to the summit of Mount Ledang.

Check point 5 and 6 was easy. Going towards Check Point 7 was HELL!! They called it KFC as in Killing Fitness Centre. What a fitting name indeed. I almost busted my knees from all the climbing. I didn't know that it was going to be this physical and I was totally not prepared. There was a time when I just felt like giving up. But I kept pushing myself again and again.

By the time we reached the Summit I was too tired enjoy it. It was already dark when we got there anyway.

The journey back was worst!!! It was a never ending journey for all of us. We walked and walked, at every corner I wished it was the last one. But noooo.. it took us forever to get there. We arrived at the base camp at almost 3am!! That was a 12 hour journey from the base camp to the summit and down to the base camp. By the time we arrived, everybody was extremely exhausted. By then I lost my ability to smile, all I can think of was sleep, sleep and sleep!! We finally slept at about 4.45am.

The next morning, we started our descend at about 11am. Again I walked down alone. Slowly and enjoying the view. The trail was wet because of the rain. I slipped a few times. Habis kotor my baju and seluar!!

I must say, those 2 days was the most tiring day of my life after the Mount Kinabalu expedition. But nevertheless, it was extremely fun and the experience was something that I will never forget for the rest of my life. My whole body ache like hell but it was worth it.

The downside though I lost my camera and my glasses. Damn it!!!

Long Overdue Updates...

I know it's been almost a month since my last post hahaha..

Busy lady maaaa... And malas to update hehehe..

Updates on my previous weeks activities.. Went to the F1 on Saturday and Sunday in early April. On Saturday wasn't too many people. Sepatutnya 4 of us going, but the other 2 have to cancel due to some work commitment. So end up just me and a friend enjoying the F1 on Saturday. My friend as the "minah supir" so I can relax hahaha.. Right after F1, I rushed back home, shower and rushed to One Utama for dinner with my skool friends.

On Sunday, the 4 of us went for the F1. Damn mad wei!! So jam!! I was the designated driver for that day. Penat!! And my car air-cond chose that day to "buang tabiat"!! Pity my friends have to berpanas in my car!! We were stuck in the jam for almost 2 hours, I think, but managed to get a parking space not too far from the entrance although we still have to walk for quite a distance. The heat, I tell you!!! Panas gila wei!!

Nevertheless, it was a fun experience. On the way back, we put on some ol' skool songs and menyanyi our lungs out.. No wonder it hujan crazily after that :D. That night I have to go to Kanye West concert pula. Luckily, I brought my clothes along so I tumpang mandi at my friend's house and rushed to the concert!!

Luck must be on my side that day cause when I arrived at 9.15pm the concert belum start yet. Yay!!! 10mins after I arrived, lampu was dimmed and tadaaaa... Kanye West!!! I know he waited for me hahahahaha... Sadly, the crowd was slow that night. Although I was tired I still managed to get up and dance the night away with my friends (and menguap'ing at the same time hehehe..) Right after the concert a lepak session at Pelita. Mannnn.. What a tiring day!!

Then the week after F1, a friend invited me to go to the Nescafe Kickstart Finale at Menara PGRM. Since I don't have anything better to do so why not, right?? Woke up early that Sunday, went to Menara PGRM and gave moral support to the finalist. Her supporter was sooooo ramai, it was almost a sure win one... Sadly she didn't menang. I sincerely rasa she has the most potential and her idea was the uniquest among the 4 finalist. So sad!!

That evening, I went with my friend's family to Puchong, go merisik her brother's soon-to-be wife. So far have to drive. We arrived late about 9pm. Kesian the lady's family have to wait so long. I've never been to a merisik session and this was my first. I find it interesting but so formal. Bercakap macam buku teks Bahasa Melayu SPM hahaha.. Stayed there for about 2 hours getting to know the bride-to-be family. It was fun!! But ya tiring also...

This week I didn't do anything interesting. Just stayed at home!! But my internet "bodoh" and I've been deprived of my internet access for almost a week plus!! So yesterday I packed my lappytoppy and went to Starbucks for a free internet session. First I went to Starbucks Great Eastern Mall, but they had server problem so I went to Starbucks Jusco pula. Stayed there until 9.30pm.

OK la enough update for now :D

*********************************************************************

Oh ya, forgot maa... I just spent RM650 bucks to renew my car insurance and road tax!! Damn pokai already... Cesss!!!

Plus, I've enrolled in a 12 weeks Dale Carnegie course 'Breakthrough To Success". It's a once a week course (every Wednesday, half a day) for 12 weeks. So far I've survived the first 3 sessions so another 9 more to go..

Focus on Problems vs. Focus on Solutions

This is soooo true.. Another forwarded email that worth sharing :)

When NASA began the launch of astronauts into space, they found out that the pens wouldn't work at zero gravity (Ink won't flow down to the writing surface).

In order to solve this problem, it took them one decade and $12 million.
They developed a pen that worked at zero gravity, upside down, underwater, in practically any surface including crystal and in a temperature range from below freezing to over 300 degrees C.

And what did Russians do........................................??

The Russians used a Pencil!!!

So, learn to focus on solutions not on problems.
"If you look at what you do not have in life, you don't have anything".

"If you look at what you have in life, you have everything"

SICK CYCLE CAROUSEL by Lifehouse

if shame had a face I think it would kind of look like mine
if it had a home would it be my eyes
would you believe me if I said I'm tired of this
well here we go now one more time

I tried to climb your steps
I tried to chase you down
I tried to see how low I could get down to the ground
I tried to earn my way
I tried to change this mind
you better believe that I have tried to beat this

so when will this end it goes on and on
over and over and over again
keeps spinning around I know that it won't stop
till I step down from this for good

well I never thought I'd end up here never
thought I'd be standing where I am
I guess I kind of thought that it would be easier than this
I guess I was wrong now one more time

I tried to climb your steps
I tried to chase you down
I tried to see how low I could get down to the ground
I tried to earn my way
I tried to change this mind
you better believe that I have tried to beat this

so when will this end it goes on and on
over and over and over again
keeps spinning around I know that it won't stop
till I step down from this
sick cycle carousel
this is a sick cycle yeah
sick cycle carousel
this is a sick cycle yeah

so when will this end it goes on and on
over and over and over again
keeps spinning around I know that it won't stop
till I step down from this for good

so when will this end it goes on and on
over and over and over again
keeps spinning around I know that it won't stop
till I step down from this for good
